We are Jose and Dioni, a couple from south-east Spain, with a lifelong connection to food, family and the joy of gathering around a table. 

Growing up, meals were never rushed.

They were moments to share stories, celebrate, laugh, and most importantly, eat well.

Our journey has taken us through kitchens and dining rooms across Spain, France, Wales and England, with each place adding something new to the way we cook, serve and welcome people.

But the philosophy has always stayed the same: the finest meals are the ones shared with others.

That philosophy is at the heart of Don Txoko.

Our little restaurant in Norwich is our way of bringing the warmth and generosity of a Spanish table to our adopted home. We cook from scratch, work with the seasons, cook over charcoal, and choose ingredients and wines that we genuinely love.

We want you to slow down, enjoy the moment, share a few plates, open another bottle and feel at home around our table.

And yes, we believe a table with too much food is always better than one with too little.
